1 week claymation and animation camp

Do you have an idea for a movie? Have you ever wanted to make your own movie like "Chicken Run" or "Wallace & Gromit"? Then join Movies By Kids, where students create, storyboard, and animate their own clay characters using the art of stop-motion animation. Claymation starts by building an armature or "skeleton" for the character. Then all layers of clay are applied until the character is ready for the camera, and we film their characters acting out their original stories. Once we've done a claymation movie, students will make a movie starring just about anything...toys, clothes, pictures, even a banana peel! Students will also operate digital video equipment, supply voices for their characters, and by the end of the week, they will have created at least two animated short films! All movies will be professionally edited, and a DVD will be provided to every student in the program.
